Where in the world do you find the gigantic waterfall, the highest bungee jumping site and dozens of immense Safari parks? You might as well have guessed it; somewhere probably in Africa. One really has to pour in some effort, a bit of try to actually see it and make the experience as one’s own.
Zimbabwe is one of the most important countries in Africa and is visited by numerous tourists from all over the world. The country comprises beautiful scenery, impressive African culture and adventurous safaris that combine to form a great vacation. Zimbabwe hosts many natural wonders including The Victoria Falls, which is an extremely powerful sight and it, a great location for adventure lovers and tourists who are into parachuting, diving and water rafting. Besides being an ultimate vacation destination, the transportation system in the country is very well. One won’t have any problem traveling within the country or even getting in the country by air, road or railway.
Traveling By Air:
The national airline of the country is Air Zimbabwe that operates both direct and indirect cheap flights to Harare. Air Zimbabwe is based at Harare International Airport, which has one of the longest runways in Africa near the capital Harare. All the international flights to and from Singapore, Nairobi, Lusaka, London, Lilongwe, Johannesburg, Guangzhou, Dubai, Blantyre and Lubumbashi land in Harare International Airport. One can also land at Victoria Falls Airport on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Through Train:
The train arrives and departs thrice a week between Bulawayo in Zimbabwe and Francistown in Bostwana. It takes up to 6 hours to travel from Francistown to Bulawoya through train; on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays around 9am. The train also leaves Bulawayo on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:30 am and takes up to 5 hours to travel.
By Car and Buses:
You can visit Zimbabwe from any of the neighboring countries, which are Botswana, South Africa, Mozambique and Zambia. Borders can be crossed between 6 am and 6 pm; crossings at Beitbridge in South Africa and Victoria Falls in Zambia are open longer. It is very important to drive safely and do not forget to take some petrol with you that can be used for emergency purposes or when the availability of petrol is short. As Zimbabwe is connected to all of its neighboring countries through roads and highways, traveling by bus is easy and showing your visa is not obligatory either. While traveling from Harare and Bulawayo you can connect to and from Johannesburg in South Africa whereas buses to and from Bulawayo from Johannesburg travel further north to Lusaka. Buses also travel between Harare and Blantyre in Malawi through the northern tip of Mozambique and from Victoria Falls to Windhoek, which is the capital of Namibia.
